After the Rain

Image
Yes, and that's literally... Few hours ago, I curled in the plastic mat and slept soundly. Laziness crept in. I love sleeping when there's a heavy downpour hehe! But more than describing the atmosphere of "after the rain", the line also signifies something beyond its literal meaning which has something to do with the emotional mess that has been overcome. Yesterday was slightly appalling but anyway it was just part of life's normal routine and it doesn't matter to me now, I was just disappointed towards something and that's all. Nothing to fuss about :-) It looks like the road trip I kept on contemplating for the past week will no longer possible but it's okay, I have to bend with the circumstances, that's way beyond my control. Maybe some other time when I have money hehehe! I plan to explore the Ilocos Region, Vigan for instance. It's one of my wishes to travel to Vigan or to Camarines Sur (I think these places are in the o...

Pearl Farm Beach Resort

One day at Pearl Farm.... Samal Suites Row of Samal Houses at Pearl Farm where we stayed Samal House  Relaxing after our arrival Our very good friend and former colleague in the University, Miss Joice Lagat, invited me to join them at Pearl Farm when it became clear that her mother, aunt and sister, could not make it to the wedding of Roy and Juvy last August 21, 2012. It was a blistering Wednesday afternoon when we left Davao and headed to the gorgeous Pearl Farm, a world-class beach resort off the coast of Samal island. Since we're super late when we arrived at the wharf and the boat will be leaving at precisely 1:00 PM we were not able to eat the Jollibee food we bought at the drive thru. We just left it at the garbage can ( sayang !) because we were told that bringing food is strictly prohibited at the resort even at the boat.  Anyway, the weather was fine when we docked at Pearl Farm and we're treated to a fruit juice drink upon our arrival ...

Nature Tripping

Email this to a friend 2011 October 18 Yes!!Finally I was able to visit the other side of Surigao del sur! Against the backdrop of Enchanted River (Sir Asis Abonado at the lower step) Last Sunday, October 16, we left Davao for one day nature excursion to Enchanted River in Talisay, Hinatuan and Tinuy-an Falls in Borboanan, Bislig.  I lived in  Marihatag,  (four hours from Hinatuan), a quiet municipality in the south surrounded with beaches and mountains (we are facing the mighty Pacific Ocean), so visiting another mountain or beach resort is not a fascinating idea to me anymore. But because I heard lots of good feedbacks about the extraordinary beauty of Enchanted River and Tinuy-an falls, I was excited to visit these spots anyway....when Maam Beth Galindo invited me to join their excursion, I immediately "hop in" hehehe. yaaaay! (got this expression from Bianca Gonzales in her blog, lol!) It was terrific...and very amazed to see the stunning countr...
