Kitties are sick!!!

Image
I was never a pet lover, I find it so awfully tiring taking care of animals, they cannot communicate clearly so having them around requires extra patience and devotion to fully understand their needs but when I relocated here in Manila, I found out my sister has several cats!!And to my horror they would sleep beside us during night time goshhhh! My sister's four adult cats! I tried to push them during the first few nights but they would not go, they would curl instead and sleep soundly, later I learned to accept the reality hehehe! And began to love them and take care of them when my sister is out. Then two of the cats gave birth last August 2013, four of them survived. As I watched them grew into cute kitties, I began to love them and find them amusing. I got to feed them everyday. One day, I noticed the swelling of the eyes of the two kittens, my sister told me to just let it pass because the other cats had the same condition when they were growing up, but I was so r...

Strolling around Greenbelt Makati!

Image
Wohoho!! At last I was able to stroll around Greenbelt after five years hehe! Last Thursday, September 26, I and my sister decided to spend lunch at SM Makati after my appointment with Accenture in McKinley Taguig. It was raining and we're so tired commuting to Market Market for lunch, so we took an FX ride going to Makati and stopping at SM and Glorietta. Strolling around the relaxing atmosphere of Greenbelt Makati After lunch, it was time to explore the area, we visited Greenbelt using its footbridge connecting SM. I always love Ayala Malls because of its advocacy of a green environment, most of its biggest malls in the country have beautiful landscape of tropical plants and fountains. Abreeza Davao has a well-maintained garden and so with Trinoma in Quezon City but my favorite among its malls is Greenbelt. It is surrounded with a soothing greenery. It has a mini-rainforest, manicured lawn, lush green plants, pathways, a chapel and a little fish pond, a perfect p...

Gilas Pilipinas defeated South Korea in FIBA Asia semi-finals

Image
The curse had been lifted!!! So they say ^______^ After so many years of being unsuccessful in the FIBA Asia Championship round, the Philippine National Team finally made it! Wohohoho congratulations!! Gilas Pilipinas, the official name of the national team, defeated South Korea posting a 7-point lead on the final buzzer, 86-79. The national team’s victory brought back the Philippines into the basketball limelight in Asia and came after two decades of drought in the world basketball inclusion. The victory was not an easy one because the Korean basketball players performed well and they were great and tough but the spirit of unity, love and support among Filipinos, especially those who came in the MOA Arena, together with prayers and the team’s energy, coordination and determination, made everything possible. It was a tough road to victory and at the same time very significant and heartwarming because according to Miko Halili and coach Richard Del Rosario, commentator...

French Lesson and Trivia Machine

Image
bonjour tout le monde! Yeahhh!Setting up my mood to get back to my French audio tutorials. I discontinued my French lesson when I started attending graduate studies in 2010. I must admit studying French is a bit challenging because the language is very far from English or German where you have to pronounce the words exactly as you read, in French, words are simply different from the way it appears the moment it will be uttered, gosh! It requires patience and tons of determination to learn a thing and until now I cannot construct a single sentence hehehe! Why I am fascinated with the French language?Hmmm...maybe because of my interest towards Switzerland. When I was still in my elementary years, I dreamed to live in Switzerland particularly in Geneva after seeing the scenic alps in the glossy calendar about nature, I always thought Switzerland resembles a dreamy fairyland, relaxing, peaceful and carefree. When I attended college I began researching about this spectacular c...

Reducing My Blogs

So far, I have 12 active blogs around the net. I love writing, it's my way of life, my favorite hang out. But now I feel guilty because I cannot update all the sites I created due to limited time in the net. Besides, I just want to write some personal kinks, concerns, experience and just about anything that happens in my day now so I am concentrating more here than researching topics for my other sites. I normally do some research and lots of readings everyday to update my "serious" blogsites like GLOBAL AFFAIRS, WEDDING GUIDE, ROYAL WORLD, CASTLES OF EUROPE. Since I cannot do it on a daily basis anymore because I am busy working on other things I am planning to delete some of these sites. The main reason why I created so many blogs is that I don't want to mess up my personal blog with so many entries with different, unrelated topics so I segregated it based on niche.  Now I want to just concentrate on four niches: TRAVEL, ROYALTY, WEDDING and this personal...

The Joy of Creating Blog and Banner

Image
The most stressful moment of my life, so far, started last Tuesday... I'd never felt such tension before! It's the day one of our comprehensive examination review and my mind clouded with so many stressful thoughts. Our comprehensive exam covers six MBA subjects: Human Behavior in Organization, Managerial Statistics, Marketing Management, Production Management, Financial Management and Strategic Managament and our compre review is divided into two weeks with 2 days allotted for each subject. What made me so very stressed is the trend in the comprehensive exam result of MBA at AdDU -- only few takers managed to pass on the first take, waaaaah! Since it is very tedious, time consuming and very costly to undergo a re-take (and I am taking a foreign trip abroad comes June), I am focusing, really focusing hard to pass all  the subjects in just one take. And I am praying hard now as if I never prayed in my whole life hehehe! So yesterday, to dart my mind temporarily to ot...

Things I want

Image
So it's 2013, the year of the black water snake according to Chinese astrology, I am not really into astrology so I did not put so much effort reading its significance to my life this year. It seems all the predictions related to my zodiac sign are not accurate so I stop reading it. Predictions never amused me because I find it ridiculous and stupid, so this black water snake is not a big deal to me, whatever it signifies, I don't care. For the past years, it felt like I'd traversed a thorny and dilapidated road, pushing my life into uncertainties, I continued believing in fantasy, assuming things wrongly. I'm tired doing it. The one hope that I kept saving seemed a big illusion, I misinterpreted the niceties. Last holiday breaks, I discerned hardly whether I would continue allowing myself to be hurt with my assumption or change focus. Up to the last minute of 2012 I kept holding on. But the emotions I'd kept for such a long time seemed getting me into n...

Weekend Wellness

Image
Just got home from Metrolifestyle' Bahia Spa and Wellness. It was my first time to undergo a full body massage and spa and it felt great, so relaxing and relieving! I and my friend, Beth Galindo, chose the Swedish massage and mild body stretching because we felt we need to go a little bit far in body relaxation. We took a hot shower first then followed by a steamed bath (we never tried jacuzzi because it was so cold hehe) and it felt like all toxin and stress in my body had been lifted. For one hour, my mind was so relaxed and at peace, the room, which was partly lit up and covered with aromatic earthly scent, provided a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere of being at home. I loved the way my body was knead and rub, every joint was thoroughly squeezed. It was so invigorating! There was a free hot tea  served afterwards. We spent dinner at Mandarin after the body massage session then went home at 8:00 pm. I went to bed soundly and the feeling was so light. Towar...

The Joy of Soapmaking

Image
I just can't believe I am making soap now. In 2003, when my father told me to try the soapmaking business I did not pay attention with his words because I thought it would be very difficult. My father, who had been doing a community service in our place for quite sometime now, tried soapmaking (both laundry and bath soaps) as part of the livelihood project, a kind of activity that can benefit the community.  He discontinued the project because the ingredients and the soap base were very difficult to find, it should be shipped from Manila first and the process of obtaining these raw materials was so taxing. Then years passed....last December 2011 when I returned home, my father mentioned the soapmaking again, at that time I was agonizing over what kind of product to use in my business plan for export, our final requirement for Global Marketing, one of my subjects in the graduate school. Since my market is South Korea, I'd decided to make my own organic soap. I'd...

Christmas Wishlist

Image
Just in case Santa Claus is now high tech and just want to surf the net to read people's wish list for a stress-free gift-giving task...so I made one...haha! According to old folks, whenever you want something badly, just believe in yourself that you can have it, so, here, I am listing the things I want to have this Christmas season and hope Santa find these things very realistic...realistic enough to be thrown in my bedroom window at Christmastime. Burberry bag Elegant Vacheron Constantin watch costs six digits in Philippine currency But in the event that Santa Claus becomes busy with other undertakings like giving gifts to other people and would just choose to follow a different route to Africa or North Pole and will have no enough time to land in Philippine soil, I will just continue praying and hoping I can find ways to buy my wish list, if not this year, in the near future. Well, they say, if you want something badly, continue hoping for it, things will just...

The Famous Wars

Image
The Battle of Britain book sent to me by Sir Earl Doriman, former engineering faculty who now lived with his family in Manchester, England. Thank you sir Earl! Towards the end of my high school years, I thought of taking up International Studies (IS) in college because I wanted to study the history and culture of other nations/continents, well particularly Europe, but it was not materialized because none of the universities in Mindanao offered IS back in the 90s, so I settled with a business course. But my longing to study other culture grew everyday, so when I entered college, whenever I had a vacant hour, I would go to the library and read books about Europe, the continent's glorious past, the wars, the monarchy and everything about the royalty's amusing lifestyle. Later, this fascination became a habit. Okay, so lately, despite tons of case assignments and class reports in the graduate school (where I currently enrolled 12 units), I still have enough time to ...

A Good Laugh

Image
Okay, I must admit, the past days were hell of troubles everything went wrong and it felt like I brought some bad, black magic wand in my hand that everything--- person, thing --I encounter or touch turned horribly wrong, I mean Jesus!what's with these chaos around???? Misfortune after misfortune, rejection after rejection, rain after rain, storm, lightening, assignments, cases, project papers, headaches, heartaches everything!I was able to catch them all, wow! I am on my way to make it to the book of world records of having the greatest misfortune in life in just four months.... But I should try to remain calm and under control or else! So while trying every possible way to whisk my mind away from distress, frustration and tension, I surfed every site I could find in the net that offers funny and hilarious articles and heaven! I landed at Damn LOL and what a site! I ended up rolling in laughter hahaha... HERE ARE SOME OF THOSE FUNNY STUFF OVER THERE World Eco...

Life is Great

What I'd observed at the Royal Wedding

Image
I tried watching the royal wedding yesterday at Studio 23 but it was cut due to PBA games, so I waited for the re-broadcast at The Royal Channel courtesy of the BBC news. Finally this morning, I was able to finish viewing the whole event and super enthralled with the magnificent presentation of the royalty's ancient ritual of pomp and pageantry, though less-than magnificent compared to the glittery ceremony of William's parents' wedding in 1981. The couple's public kiss on the balcony of Buckingham Palace after the ceremony. After the wedding they will be known as The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge William's wedding was not the first royal wedding I viewed via Youtube. I'd watched the video files of the weddings of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson and Prince Edward and Sophie Rhys-Jones. But this latest royal wedding is more unique because I'd seen it live through BBC coverage, much have change for the past deca...
